Tim Hunt’s journey began at an early age as one of a group of young boys helping to develop St. Louis hockey in the 1960s, eventually leading to his role in establishing the first hockey team at the University of Missouri-Columbia. This same spirit of perseverance, innovation, and commitment to core values later guided him to co-found St. Louis Financial Planners shaping his career and dedication to the firm’s success.
After joining forces with his brother Dan, Tim started at St. Louis Financial Planners in 1980. Their vision was to provide middle-class families with a smarter financial strategy through “Buy Term and Invest the Difference.” This innovative approach helped middle class clients protect their families, save money, and build long-term wealth.
Tim’s role has always been guided by integrity, trust, and client advocacy. He believes in making informed, unemotional decisions based on knowledge and truth. Over the years, he earned his CFP and CMFA certifications, ensuring the firm’s continued success.
Faith is central to Tim’s life and work. Since being introduced to the Bible in its original languages in 1980, his faith has guided his personal and professional decisions. As a financial advisor, he is committed to helping clients with integrity and compassion.
Tim is deeply dedicated to God’s Word and his family. He and his wife, Diane, have been married since 1982 and have two daughters and three granddaughters. Tim’s faith, family, and passion for helping others are the foundations of his life and is reflected in his relationship with his clients.
